I was commissioned by a Patterson Park resident to paint a mural featuring the scenic park during cherry blossom season in the garden area of their group home. I gave the client some initial sketches to choose from, and developed the concept from there. I stripped the old paint from the flower boxes and primed the surfaces myself. The client requested that her son and her be features in the mural, so I obliged. Patterson Park has been my neighborhood for the past few years (2020-2022) but I hadn’t appreciated it’s magic until I started this project. I met some really special people working on this, and I’m so grateful to have been able to leave my mark on a community space
