Busboy's and Poets Takoma Bar Murals

I was commissioned by Busboys and Poets to complete a set of chalk marker murals for the bar area of the restaurant. Busboys and Poets is a collection of restaurants that prides itself on providing ‘conscious cuisine’ to its customers all over the DMV area. I was proud to provide this service to my former workplace of 3 years.

Takoma is a strong knit community, so I wanted to emphasize the importance of working together as we live through the pandemic as well as the current sociopolitical and economic states of our country. ‘Live Love Grow’ and ‘We Will Rise’ encompass the sense of hope and positivity through nature that the community needs to stay healthy and push through these trying times.
